Climate and planting windows

Nagaland has a humid subtropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Radish prefers cool, moist conditions and will bolt or develop poor roots under high heat. Use these practical windows:

  • Autumn-winter crop: sow from October to late November. Plants develop through the cool months and are ready before heavy pre-monsoon heat.
  • Late winter-early spring crop: sow January to early February for harvest before the hot season.
