What it can answer
- How fast a country's production of a crop has grown, and whether area or yield did the work.
- Which years departed from trend, and by how much.
- Where a country stands against every other reporting country, and how concentrated world output is.
- How far a yield sits below the ninetieth percentile of reporting countries.
What it cannot
Trade, prices, climate, water, food security and geopolitics are not in the dataset this module holds, so it will not answer questions about them. It also cannot establish cause: everything it computes describes a series or the arithmetic between three of them.
