Why grow foxtail millet (kangni) in the Brahmaputra Valley?
Foxtail millet (Setaria italica), locally called kangni, fits well into small farms in the Brahmaputra Valley because it is short-duration, tolerant of light drought, and fits into cereal–pulse rotations.
