Arabica coffee is traditionally a hill crop needing cool temperatures, well-distributed rainfall and shade. Rayalaseema is mostly a semi-arid region; successful Arabica production there depends on finding or creating suitable microclimates—higher elevation pockets, north-facing slopes, valleys with cooler night temperatures, or farms with reliable supplemental irrigation and shade.
