Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) is an annual medicinal herb valued for its bitter compounds used in herbal medicines. In Andhra Pradesh it performs well in warm, subtropical to tropical conditions with a well-distributed monsoon and light irrigation during dry spells. Choose this crop when you have access to reliable seed or planting material and buyers such as herbal processors, extract houses, or local Ayurvedic traders.
