In DWC the crop-critical signal is dissolved oxygen, not EC, and this is the one place in the module where that is literally true: EC out of band for a day costs growth, oxygen out of band for a night costs the crop. The air pump relay reading "on" proves nothing — a clogged stone and a perished diaphragm look identical from the relay. Measure the oxygen.
What kills this system: Dissolved oxygen trend, plus current sensing on the air pump. A closed relay is not evidence of aeration.
