  • Value-added routes: milling to flour, packaging as millet mixes, or supplying bird-feed industries can fetch better returns, though they demand small investments and consistent supply.
  • Collective marketing: farmer groups and cooperatives can aggregate produce to meet processor quantities and negotiate better prices.

  • Prefer line sowing where labour for weeding is available—saves seed and eases interculture.
